Officers with the Abbeville Police Department responded to a complaint Friday of a man driving down the road yelling that he had been shot.
The victim drove himself to Abbeville General Hospital about 10 a.m. Friday, where he was stabilized then transported to another area hospital.
Officers said the victim and a suspect, identified as Tyler Mitchell, were in a heated argument that resulted in Mitchell pulling out a gun and firing several rounds, hitting the victim twice and firing one round into the victim's vehicle.
Police said Mitchell is being sought on charges of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property.
