ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) - All Antigo School District Schools will be closed Friday due to illness.
In a Facebook post, Superintendent Glenda Oginski said the closure would allow the district to conduct a comprehensive and thorough deep cleaning of all facilities. She said during this time, all school-related activities, including after-school programs and extracurricular events, will continue as scheduled.
The closure will allow school custodians to clean the properties with hospital-grade disinfectants.
"Please continue to encourage good health practices at home, including frequent handwashing and monitoring for symptoms of illness. If your child is feeling unwell, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider. Reminder, students must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before they should return to school," Oginski stated.
