Jennifer Tilly Solidifies Her Fashion Icon Status by Rocking a Dress With Her Own Face on It
Audrey Hepburn's Swiss retreat, which she lovingly called "La Paisible" meaning peaceful, is back on the market after 20 years, and yes, it's the place she stayed in for the last 30 years of her life.
In details and photos obtained by the New York Post, we can see that the Funny Face star was truly living large before she passed away in 1993. Located near Geneva and the French border in the small Francophone town of Tolochenaz, this home is back on the market for $20.8 million.
The 18th-century farmhouse has 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, over 10,000 square feet, and 40 acres of land. It has a 50-foot heated pool, multiple fireplaces, a large library and even a renovated kitchen with navy drawers, marble countertops, and stainless steel appliances.
You can see a photo of what it looked like back in the 1970s below (and trust us, the outlet shows not much has changed!)
After Hepburn's death, it was sold to Katharina and Jean-Marc Beaujolin in 2001, who are now ready to sell the property.
Alex Koch de Gooreynd, partner at listing brokerage Knight Frank told the New York Post, "It's easy to see why Audrey Hepburn adored the environment, where she enjoyed both complete privacy and breathtaking surroundings."
Another sweet touch about this home is the garden, it's sprawling of course, but Katharina revealed something special. When Hepburn turned 60, she got 60 white rose bushes sent and had a rose garden planted, and many are still there to this day!
