The Traitors: 'Traitor hunter' favourite to be murdered next after nail-biting banishment

Tensions are at boiling point as fans gear up for Wednesday night's episode of The Traitors on BBC One, and all eyes are on Jake, who has emerged as the frontrunner to be the latest victim of the Traitors' murderous plot.

Dubbed the "Traitor hunter" by viewers and contestants alike, Jake's knack for sniffing out deception has made him a key target -- and the odds reflect it. He's the 4/9 favourite to be murdered in upcoming installment, followed by former soldier Leanne at 6/4.

Friday's episode left the Faithfuls rattled after Leon was banished in a nail-biting vote, falling to Frankie by just one vote.

However, the fallout from that roundtable means the interior designer will be heading into the latest episode as the 5/4 favourite to face the next banishment, closely followed by Traitor Minah at 11/8.

With her role under increasing scrutiny, the Liverpudlian has her work cut out for her if she hopes to deflect suspicion.

The episode is set to kick off with Charlotte and Minah deliberating over their next murder target, having seemingly narrowed their choices to Jake, Joe, and Leanne.

Thanks to his immunity shield, Freddie is off the table, leaving Jake in a precarious position.

As Minah herself described, the Traitors are looking to eliminate "a big force in the group" and "a very good Traitor hunter" -- qualities Jake embodies, particularly after he correctly identified Linda as a Traitor early on.

Adding to the intrigue, a mysterious twist looms on the horizon. A book titled The Seer flashed briefly on Friday night's episode, leading fans to speculate whether the Faithfuls could gain a powerful advantage.

In games like Werewolf, the inspiration for The Traitors, The Seer is a player who can uncover hidden roles, a power that could turn the tide for the Faithfuls.

MyBettingSites.co.uk has also tapped former British diplomat Alexander as the 6/4 favourite to inherit this role, while Freddie trails at 13/8.

Meanwhile, Charlotte, the newly recruited Traitor, is already making waves. Her strong debut has propelled her to 4/5 favourite to win the series, ahead of Freddie (2/1) and Alexander (3/1).

Minah, however, has slipped to 4/1 amidst mounting pressure.

As the Faithfuls fight to regain control, the odds remain stacked against them, with the Traitors sitting as 4/6 favourites to secure victory.

On Wednesday, murder and roundtable could be pivotal -- will Jake's time finally be up, or will the Faithfuls rally with a game-changing twist? All will be revealed in what promises to be another gripping instalment.
