CLEVELAND -- Nolan Jones finally gave Guardians fans at Progressive Field something to cheer for during Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Down 4-0 in the fourth inning and with a runner on base, Jones drove a pitch from Kyle Hendricks into the right-center gap. Angels right fielder Jorge Soler dove for it but missed, and the ball rolled all the way to the wall.
As the runner scored, Jones rounded second and headed for third, eventually sliding in for an RBI triple. But Zach Neto's throw to third skipped away from third baseman Yoan Moncada, and Jones was able to get up and scamper home for a Little League home run (officially an RBI triple with a throwing error on Neto).
