Hammer and Rails All Big Ten Teams

Hammer and Rails All Big Ten Teams

With the end of Big Ten season coming just around the corner I asked the staff to tell me who they thought deserved Big Ten Honors. Let's see what they have to say.

Believe the first four of the first team were pretty easy to put together but that fifth spot was tricky. I really debated between Bailey, Goldin, and Queen. In the end, I just think Queen was the better overall player from start to finish than the other two.

As for Player of the Year, I don't really think there is much of a debate to have. Smith will average 16 points, 8.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. He will lead the conference in steals and assists while being top ten in scoring. There is something to be said to be named the preseason player of the year and then meet/exceed those expectations (especially when you are coming off having the two-time national player of the year as well). Smith has been great from start to finish.

POTY - Braden Smith - This one seems obvious. The Purdue point guard has been an absolute star all year.
