A man died in a house fire Saturday morning in northwest Dallas, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:45 a.m. in response to a 911 call reporting a structure fire at a home, located at 3055 Sumter Drive, said Jason Evans, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman.
After hearing reports that there was a person inside the one-story residence, firefighters entered and found the man's unresponsive body near the home's entrance, according to Evans. He was pulled out of the house but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man has yet to be identified by the county medical examiner's office as of Saturday afternoon.
