American Idol will show off its new judging panel after the Oscars.
A special preview of the competition series' new season will air following the live Oscars telecast on Sunday, March 2, on ABC. The program will provide a first look at some hopeful auditions and new judge Carrie Underwood alongside Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest.
The eighth season of Idol on ABC (and the franchise's 23rd season overall) premieres with a two-hour episode on Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c.
