Border Patrol on School Buses? Texas ISD Sparks Debate!

There is a lot of tension and people feeling uneasy in Texas regarding immigration. That level of insecurity only increased last week after one Texas ISD posted on social media last week that agents could ask students about their citizenship.

We got the details about this from My San Antonio, about Alice Independent School District posting a letter on Facebook, although the letter has since been deleted.

With tension so high around this topic, I thought it was important to track down the letter that was posted online so you could read it for yourself.

As you would expect the comments made online were all over the place.

As you can imagine people were very caught off guard from the letter posted online.

Many questioning whether they should be keeping their kids home from school.

But the Robstown Police Department put out a statement to help calm some of the fear and concern within the area.

Two things stand out to me when I hear this information. First, I wish the Alice ISD Superintendent would have stated where she heard that agents could possibly board school buses.

It's only states that the district received information.

Secondly, I find it odd that Superintendent is spelled wrong at the bottom of the letter. Was this just a typo?

It seems like something this important would have been checked by multiple people prior to being posted.
