Firemen from Litchfield Fire Department extinguished a blaze inside the house at 728 E. South St. in Litchfield around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Firemen at the scene determined the cause of the fire was most likely the dryer running in the basement. No one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, according to Meeker County Sheriff's Office.
Fire damage was reported in the basement, with smoke damage throughout the house.
