Incumbent Republican Erik Paulsen topped DFL-challenger Terri Bonoff to retain his seat in the U.S. Congress.
Paulsen, 51, of Eden Prairie, has served Minnesota's 3rd congressional district since 2009.
Bonoff, 59, of Minnetonka, has served 11 years in the state Legislature.
Paulsen says fixing Washington, D.C., to get things done is his top priority. Enacting pro-growth tax reform, lowering health-care costs and eliminating onerous regulations are also platform priorities.
