With President Donald Trump back in office, a House committee aimed at advancing his Department of Government Efficiency announced its GOP members.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who chairs the House Oversight Committee's Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, announced who will serve on the committee as the Trump administration begins its efforts to "maximize governmental efficiency and productivity."
Greene announced Reps. Pat Fallon (R-TX), William Timmons (R-SC), Brandon Gill (R-TX), Brian Jack (R-GA), Tim Burchett (R-TN), Eric Burlison (R-MO), and Michael Cloud (R-TX).
"I am honored to lead the Oversight subcommittee for Delivering on Government Efficiency, and I'm proud to announce my fellow colleagues who will be working alongside me to deliver the mandate from the American people," Greene said in a statement.
"Together, we will strive to eliminate waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement within federal agencies, ensuring that the government operates efficiently and transparently for the American people," she added.

House Democrats have yet to announce who they will select for the subcommittee on DOGE.
DOGE was announced by Trump last November after he won the election as a way to "dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies." The initiative was established by executive order Monday, with DOGE instructed to finish its mission by July 4, 2026, the country's 250th anniversary.

Elon Musk will lead the department. Vivek Ramaswamy, who was initially tapped to co-lead DOGE, will not be part of the effort, the commission confirmed Monday. Ramaswamy is debating a run for Ohio governor and is said to have left DOGE amicably, but a report from Politico suggested he may have been pushed out.
The House DOGE subcommittee will aim to support the DOGE operation in the White House, while Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), one of the leaders of the Senate DOGE Caucus, will support it in the other chamber of Congress.
