Full details of Celtics' trading of Jaden Springer to Rockets revealed

The Boston Celtics recently traded their promising wing Jaden Springer to the Houston Rockets, but most details were unclear except for a couple of protected second-rounders. However, the full details have been revealed by Celtics reporter Bobby Manning. The full trade is as follows:

Celtics get: 2031 top-55 protected second-round pick from Rockets

Rockets get: Jaden Springer, 2030 second-round pick from Boston, and a Portland/New Orleans top-55 protected second-round pick

The Portland/New Orleans pick comes from a prior Celtics trade where they moved Dalano Blanton to Portland. Blanton had a better contract than Springer, and turned out to be a good player with Portland.

This clearly is a salary dump as stated in the trade alert, as the Celtics move Springer's $4 million per year, and $15 million overall off their already bloated payroll.

In the end, the Celtics didn't get the value they thought with Springer, and decided to move off him. Hopefully, Springer and the Celtics both thrive, and no hard feelings are kept.
