BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - SEC football fans can officially start making their fall plans.
The Southeastern Conference announced the kickoff times and broadcast channels for the first three weeks of the season.
While the season officially kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 28 with Central Arkansas traveling to Missouri, it'll the next night that things heat up when the SEC's Auburn goes on the road to the Big XII's Baylor for a Friday night game on WBRC 6 and other FOX affiliates. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Week one will feature two SEC vs. ACC matchup as Alabama plays against Florida State at 2:30 p.m. on ABC and South Carolina meets Virginia Tech in the Aflac Kickoff Game in Atlanta at 2 p.m. on ESPN.
Both Alabama and Auburn open their home schedule the next week as Ball State travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium and Louisiana-Monroe comes to Tuscaloosa.
The Cardinals and Tigers kick off at 6:30 p.m. while the Crimson Tide and Warhawks get started 15 minutes later on the SEC Network.
In another SEC vs. ACC matchup, Vanderbilt, looking to build off the success of last season, will travel to Virginia Tech at 6:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
Wisconsin, after losing to Alabama in Camp Randall a year ago, will travel to Tuscaloosa in week three. That game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. on either ABC or ESPN.
Auburn, meanwhile, will welcome in-state South Alabama to Jordan-Hare Stadium for an 11:45 a.m. kickoff on the SEC Network.
An early yet pivotal SEC matchup takes place in week three when Georgia and Tennessee play at 2:30 p.m. on ABC followed by Florida and LSU at 6:30 p.m.
Over on NBC that week, Texas A&M will make the trip north to take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame at 6:30 p.m.
