China's CERES-1 rocket launches new satellites

China on Friday launched a CERES-1 carrier rocket, sending a group of satellites into space.

The rocket blasted off at 7:39 p.m. (Beijing Time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, sending the Kaiyun-1, Yuxing-3 08 and Yunyao-1 27 satellites into a preset orbit.
