Navy Awards Risk Mitigation Consulting $95M Contract for Mission Assurance Assessments

The U.S. Navy has awarded risk management services provider Risk Mitigation Consulting a $95 million contract to provide mission assurance, or MA, assessments of installation infrastructure and facility-related control systems, or FRCS, globally.

RMC said Tuesday the five-year contract has a base period of one year and four one-year options.

The company, which also offers industrial cybersecurity systems and engineering services, will be the prime contractor, supported by Concurrent Technologies Corp., CDM Smith, Deloitte and Digital Cloak.

"This award demonstrates our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in Mission Assurance and reaffirms the value of our expertise and the trust our clients place in our ability to deliver measurable results," said Scott Hotaling, vice president of the security and risk division at RMC.

The new contract covers MA services and FRCS cybersecurity to identify and mitigate emerging risks and threats to Navy and Department of Defense missions, personnel, infrastructure and networks.

RMC has been partnering with the Navy on MA initiatives since 2008. The company has since conducted more than 425 assessments across 118 sites in 17 countries and identified over 700 significant risks.

In 2019, the firm secured a similar indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth $95 million for MA services covering Navy and Marine Corps installations at various U.S. locations, including California, Virginia and Maryland.
