SALT LAKE CITY - A teenager was hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle after a multi-stake dance Friday night.
Jeantiel Livingston with the Lehi Police Department said police received multiple calls at approximately 11:13 p.m. about a traffic accident near 500 West and 100 North in front of the Lehi Rodeo Grounds.
A multi-stake dance was being held at the rodeo grounds, Livingston said, and as attendees were leaving the dance, a 15-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle that was traveling south on 500 West.
"Initially, witnesses and officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived," Livingston said.
Livingston said the girl "suffered significant head trauma."
The 15-year-old was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, then a medical helicopter reportedly transported her to a hospital in Salt Lake City.
Her condition was unknown at the time of publication. No further information was immediately available.
