Intense winds are causing dangerous fire conditions in communities.
Wildfires in San Diego have led to mandatory evacuations in the area on Tuesday.
Officials tell FOX News that two wildfires are burning in San Diego County, with strong Santa Ana winds creating "dangerous fire conditions."

Cal Fire noted that the Lilac Fire and Pala Fire, started early Tuesday morning near Bonsall and Pala Mesa and pose a threat to homes and businesses. Evacuation orders were issued for neighborhoods near the Lilac Fire.

San Diego County District 5 Supervisor Jim Desmond wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that "Mandatory evacuation orders are in place, and I cannot stress enough the importance of evacuating immediately and listening to first responders."
Desmond added that "Santa Ana winds are creating dangerous fire conditions -- please do not wait to leave if you are in an evacuation zone."

The National Weather Service said a top wind gust of 102 mph was recorded as of early this morning in San Diego County.
FOX Weather Meteorologist Craig Herrera said "Right now, critical (fire weather) extends all the way down into San Diego County, and elevated (fire weather) goes into the high deserts."
FOX News reported that the San Diego area has been placed under a High Wind Warning until Tuesday afternoon and a Red Flag Warning until Wednesday night. The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
