* At 1 p.m. the center will host a slide show presentation titled "Norway: Land of Trolls, Fjords and More." It will depict the coastal scenery from Bergen to Kirkeness, and many other spots. The cost is $2 and registration is required by May 13.

* Jenny Fransen, rheumatology nurse clinician and co-author of the book "The Fibromyalgia Help Book," will offer a presentation titled, "Practical Strategies for Managing Arthritis and Fibromyalgia" at 12:30 p.m. Call the center to register for the free presentation.

* Senior Community Services offers the Household and Outside Maintenance for Elderly (H.O.M.E.) program for Minnetonka residents ages 60 and over. Volunteer groups and paid workers are available to help with yard clean up, lawn mowing, window washing, painting, small repair jobs and house cleaning. * An "Over 50 and Fit" class on muscle strengthening, flexibility, endurance and increasing lung capacity will be offered from 9-10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

* The center will offer a trip to the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul to see the "Seniors in Mind" program "Making Do: Hoover and the Home Front." The cost for the trip is $15. The bus will leave the center at 9:15 a.m. and return about 2 p.m.

* The center will host the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. The program will be "Depression Years," presented by Bob Williams. There is no charge to attend.
Friday, May 13
* The center will honor residents over the age of 85 at a "Shining Stars" party at noon. Barbara Huber will provide entertainment. Call the center by May 10 to register.

TAMARACK
The Tamarack Senior Center seeks volunteers to help with various programs, including delivering Meals on Wheels, host/hostess and bingo caller. For more information, stop by the Tamarack Senior Center or call Kim at 952-476-2554.
Tamarack Senior Center is in need of volunteers to drive and deliver Meals on Wheels. Drivers may volunteer as little as once a month for about one to two hours. Training is available.
